Could someone tell me how to make the transition from System administration to DevOps Engineer?

Well, there shouldn’t be any surprise to know the fact that most of the DevOps Engineer is system administrators prior to that.

There are some skills listed below for your reference that you need to have to become a DevOps engineer and they are:

  • Linux or Windows administration
  • Coding skills
  • Preferable Cloud skills keeping in future aspects.
  • Good knowledge of containers and orchestration.
  • Some soft skills like good communication coupled with analytical thinking are some of the preferred skillsets.
