Normal Form Definition
1NF (First Normal Form) A relation is 1NF if it does not contain any repeating groups. All attributes must be atomic, meaning that they cannot be broken down into smaller parts.
2NF (Second Normal Form) A relation is in 2NF if it is in 1NF, and every non-primary key attribute is fully functionally dependent on the primary key. This means that each non-primary key attribute must be uniquely determined by the primary key.
3NF (Third Normal Form) A relation is in 3NF if it is in 2NF and does not contain any transitive dependencies. A transitive dependency exists when an attribute is functionally dependent on another attribute that is not the primary key.

4NF (Fourth Normal Form) A relation is in 4NF if it is in BCNF and does not contain any multivalued dependencies. A multivalued dependency exists when an attribute is functionally dependent on another attribute, and the value of the dependent attribute can take on multiple values for a single value of the independent attribute.
5NF (Fifth Normal Form) A relation is in 5NF if it is in 4NF and does not contain any join dependencies. A join dependency exists when two or more attributes are functionally dependent on each other, but none of them is the primary key.
