Java Certification Path

There are basically five levels of Oracle Java Certification categorized on the basis of Job Roles:

• Oracle Certified Junior Associate (OCJA)
• Oracle Certified Associate (OCA)
• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP)
• Oracle Certified Expert (OCE)
• Oracle Certified Master (OCM)

Oracle Certified Junior Associate (OCJA): This certification is the most basic and intended as a novice level certification. This certification is meant for candidates who are new to Java, mostly students.

Oracle Certified Associate (OCA): This certification is a step up from OCJP. This certification ensures that the candidate is equipped with the basic and fundamental knowledge about Java and coding.

Oracle Certified Professional (OCP): This certification is built on top of the fundamental skills gained by the candidate in OCA. This certification is often used by IT managers to evaluate the qualifications of candidates.
