Game Development & Artificial Intelligence With PHP

Question

A friend of mine told me that it is possible to even create games with PHP.

Is that really possible?

Can we implement artificial intelligence using PHP?

PHP is Turing comprehensive, so in theory, you can build any kind of application you want. It doesn't indicate you should, though, and there are considerably more fit tools out there to build applications.
