Hadoop is a software framework that is used to store and process Big Data. It is an open-source platform that is based on MapReduce by Google. It helps organizations to quickly process and store data of large volume. It provides massive computing power that helps to process the data. It also has a fault-tolerance feature that protects application and data processing from any hardware failure.

Unlike previous RDBMS, Big Data Hadoop does not require you to pre-process the stored data. You can easily store any amount of data and use it as required. Another benefit of this framework is that it is free and scalable. You can increase the cluster of systems by adding more nodes (computing systems).
