JIRA is a bug, issue tracking, and project management tool developed by an Australian company named Atlassian.

JIRA is extensively used around the world by various software development teams to track bugs and issues and manage and plan their software development phase for increased efficiency.

JIRA’s name comes from the Japanese word “Gojira” meaning Godzilla. It was introduced in the market as a bug tracker initially, but over time it evolved into a strong work management tool.
