Python has libraries like Numpy, Matplotlib, Scipy, and Pandas to name a few amongst many which are very important for data visualization and analysis. As the name implies Numpy stands for Numerical Python and provides the programmer the capability to perform complex mathematical operations on the data at hand. It provides the user the privilege to use the n-dimensional array and matrices.  If you have large data, python handles it better. If you want visualization and presentation then you can switch to R.
