How to create an AMI in AWS?

Can anyone tell me how to create an AMI in AWS?

Amazon Machine Image (AMI) is used to launch a machine with custom configurations in AWS.

For creating an AMI, you have to follow the below steps:

1. Select an instance, and navigate to Actions
2. Scroll to Image, and click on Create image. This way, the AMI will be created in AWS
3. To see the status of the image, navigate to Images, and then select AMIs

Note: It will take 3–5 mins to copy the configurations into the AMI.
